Here we have an exceptional and very rare set of four 17th Century ash and elm dining/kitchen spindle back chairs, circa 1680.

An attractive back rises with twin rails with a four spindle back capped by a quality header rail. Each chair consist of a hard elm seat with a shaped frieze rail at the front. The front legs are turned & tapered, leading down to a pad & ball foot. There is also a turned, front stretcher and two plain side stretchers with a plain turned stretcher to the back. The chairs are of good, sound condition and are excellent quality.

Great colour and patina and ready to be used.
