A campaign desk was used by officers during military campaigns. The campaign desk was usually the private property of the officer. The campaign desk has several features which made it easy to transport from one campaign posting to another.

This yew wood campaign style desk is inlaid with a green tooled leather writing surface. There are 4 drawers to each pedestal all with brass handles and brass fittings to the corners. There are 3 further drawers to the top of the desk, the central drawer is complete with working lock and key. There are handles to the outer edge of each pedestal. The whole stands on a plinth base. The desk is in 3 sections, 2 pedestals and the desk top, for ease of transportation and assembly.
