This is a beautiful oak Wellington chest with a rectangular top above the obligatory seven graduating drawers (for seven days), all with turned knob handles, flanked either side by pilasters with carved trusses the top. The right hand pilaster hinging and opening to act as a locking bar has a key with working lock. The chest stands on a plain plinth and is full of charm and character from age and use.

Perfect for use as a chest of drawers for storing clothes, as a filing cabinet for papers in an office/home study or as a collectors cabinet.

Complete with key.

It is a lovely warm medium shade of oak with a striking grain, good patina and is in very good condition.
