A quality early 1800's mahogany dome top striking 8 day circular brass dial longcase clock by Heywood, Northwhich (1828).
The well engraved round dial has two winding holes, seconds hand, hour and minute hands and unusually a centre blued steel date hand. The dome top hood has a pair of brass ball and spire finials over a round brass dial surround door, and locking key. The slim figured mahogany trunk has quarter turned and fluted pilasters and the arched top door has a working lock and key. The square moulded base stands on a plain plinth.
