A much admired late 18th century tall oak cased brass arch dial striking 8 day longcase by T. Baddely, Albrighton (Shropshire 1795), one of the fine clock making family of Tong, Shifnal and Albrighton.

The 12" wide brass one piece arched dial has a date hand in the arch with scroll engrave spandrels to the arch and corners, a seconds hand, a pair of winding holes and all blued steel fingers. The pagoda top oak case has a dome top over a pair of half round integral hood door pilasters, brass knob with the whole hood door opening to gain access to the dial. The trunk has a long arch top door over a raised entrant corner panel, over a wavy shaped bracket plinth.
