A most charming early 20th century burr walnut musical 3 train striking and chiming 8 day longcase clock of small proportions.
The superb clock which chimes on 9 tubular gongs has a 10" square brass dial with matted centre, narrow silvered chapter ring, 3 winding holes for time, strike and chime, chime/silent lever to turn off the chimes, a silvered seconds dial chapter ring, cherub head cast corner spandrels together with a tune selector for Westminster, Whittington or St.Michael chimes. The excellent burr walnut case has a flat caddy top hood with blind fretwork and a pair of brass ball and spire finials over another wide blind fretwork panel above a pair of barley twist half round integral door pilasters over a convex throat above a plain walnut trunk with burr walnut book match veneered door with oval lenticle over a square base with bracket plinth.
