An outstanding early 1700's burr walnut and marquetry square brass dial striking 8 day longcase clock with alarm, by Conrad Heck, Amsterdam.

A truly beautiful piece of 18th century craftsmanship in every respect. A 12" brass dial with wheatear engraved surround, a superb set of four seasons corner spandrels, a silvered chapter ring, matted dial centre and two ringed winding holes, a silvered seconds dial with pointer, chased engraved chamfered edge date aperture with working silvered date wheel behind together with a central silvered alarm setting dial. The gorgeous burr walnut case is inlaid all over with floral marquetry designs in satinwood with pen and ink finishing. The pagoda top hood has a blank moulded frieze over a glazed 12" door with turned integral pilasters over a concave throat above a long arch top door with lenticle over a square base with compressed bun feet.
