An early 18th century (pre 1766) oak cased, brass dial, striking 30 hour single handed cottage longcase clock by Baddely, Tong (John Baddely, Shropshire 1727-1804).
The 12" square dial has early four seasons spandrels to the corners with a chapter ring with internal 15 minute markings and a finely matted centre with single blue steeled hand. The oak case has a caddy top above a blind fretwork frieze, over a opening glass door with integral turned oak pilasters with gilt capitals and bases. The plain trunk has a long rectangular line decorated door with original escutcheon, working lock and key and the square base has a platform plinth.
