An 18th century, oak cased square brass dial striking 8 day longcase clock by JNO Stanyer, Nantwhich (John Stanyer 1795).

The 13" square brass dial has cherub head spandrels around a raised brass chapter ring enclosing a scroll engraved centre with seconds dial, square date aperture revealing working date wheel behind, with makers details in script and a pair of blued steel hands. The architectural shaped hood with central ball and spire finial over a pair of turned and fluted pillars with gilt enhanced capital and bases either side a mahogany cross-banded oak hood door with brass knob. The quarter turned and fluted trunk pilasters enclose a wavy top mahogany cross-banded oak door over a raised shaped cross-banded panel base, on shaped bracket plinth.
