A good small 18th century oak cased 30 hour brass dial chain wind striking longcase clock by Baddely, Albrighton (John Baddely, Tong and Albrighton, Shropshire 1727-1804).
The 12" square brass dial has cast corner spandrels around a raised brass chapter ring enclosing a smooth dial centre with the makers detail in script, a seconds hand and half moon date aperture revealing a working date wheel together with an original pair of blued steel hands. The plain oak case has a flat top hood over a plain frieze above a pair of fluted pillars with brass capitals and bases enclosing a mahogany inlaid glazed door with brass knob. The plain trunk has a flat top door over a square base on platform plinth.
