A good looking 18th century oak and mahogany brass arched dial striking 8 day longcase clock by J Baddeley, Albrighton (John Baddeley, Shropshire, Tong and Albrighton 1727-1804).

The 12" arch brass dial with strike/silent lever in the arch with a raised silver chapter ring over a good set of crown head spandrels enclosing a raised silvered chapter ring around a finely matted centre with makers details on a raised silvered arch, a pair of blued steel hands and a chamfered date aperture revealing a working silvered date wheel behind. The oak case has an applied pediment over a flat top with arch over a pair of turned pillars with brass capitals and bases either side a glazed door with brass knob. The trunk has square mahogany half profile pilasters either side a wavy arched mahogany cross-banded trunk door over a square base, on a plain bracket plinth.
