An attractive well carved oak square brass dial striking 30 hour longcase clock by Thos.Woodruff, Salop (Thomas Woodruff, Shrewsbury 1767-1801).
The 11" square brass dial has floral spandrels with a raised chapter ring surrounding a floral engraved dial centre with makers details in an arch above the arched date aperture revealing a working date wheel and a pair of blued steel hands. The oak case has a flat top hood over a carved frieze atop a pair of integral round gilt enhanced door pilasters over a chamfered and chip carved trunk with long flat top trunk door with carved scrolling floral designs and working lock and key. The whole stands on a similarly chamfered square base on bracket plinth.
