An excellent early 18th century oak cased brass dial chain wind striking 30 hour longcase clock with single hand by Thos.Brown, Litchborough.
This 10" square brass dial has cast spandrels enclosing a raised chapter ring with 15 minute markings on the inside surrounding a plain dial centre with makers details in script together with a single blue steeled hand. The tall slim case has a flat moulded top hood with fretwork frieze over integral turned door pilasters over a plain trunk with arch top moulded trunk door with circular viewing lenticle over a square base with platform plinth.
