A good 18th century tall oak cased square brass dial striking 8 day longcase clock by Kitchen & Lloyd, Nantwhich (Chesire 1781-1795).
The 13" square brass dial has queen head spandrels around a raised brass chapter ring enclosing scroll engraving around a pair of winding holes and a second's chapter ring with pointer over a square date aperture revealing a working date wheel behind. The plain oak case has a moulded top over a mahogany enhanced frieze above a pair of oak pillars with brass capitals and bases either side the oak glazed door with brass knob. The plain trunk has a flat door cross-banded in mahogany above a square base with platform plinth.
