A handsome Victorian walnut writing slope with brass inlay. The box, complete with working lock and key, opens to reveal a tooled green leather writing slope and fitted stationary compartment. The stationary compartment features two inkwells, a pen rest and little compartments for other stationary such as a pencil sharpener, rubber, paper clips etc. There is also a catch which reveals a secret compartment with two small drawers. Both sides of the leather writing surface lift up to reveal more storage space beneath to keep envelopes, paper, stamps etc.

A useful piece offered in great original condition.
