A chaise longue translated in French means long chair. It is an upholstered sofa in the shape of a chair which is long enough to support the legs. A chaise has a back and armrest and were used to sleep on one's side as opposed to lying flat - a relaxing piece of furniture.

This is a quality walnut example with shaped and curved deep buttoned back. The swept arms are nicely carved with scroll detail and the serpentine front seat rail features a carved shell. The whole is raised on well carved cabriole supports. The chaise has been upholstered in a light blue/mint green material (Please see pictures).

The upholstery and frame are in good condition with just a few minor marks to the material. The piece is ready to grace its new setting, whether it be the living room, bedroom etc.
