A circa 1920 most desirable oak cased dome top longcase clock of 8 day duration, striking the hours on gongs.
This versatile 3 train movement chimes on a choice of either Westminster, Whittington or St.Michael chimes. The 10" break arch brass dial has a lever in the arch where you can change the chimes and there is a strike/silent lever to the left and chime/silent lever to the right to give you many options. The dial with matted centre has a silvered chapter ring enclosed by 4 brass Queen head spandrels. The attractive oak case has a dome shaped hood with carving to the arch and chamfered sides. The trunk has fluted, canted sides with an arched door, glazed with bevelled edge glass where can you view the brass bob wooden pendulum and 3 brass cylinder weights. The base also has fluted, canted sides, with a raised panel to the centre and short ogee bracket feet.
