An attractive early 19th century oak and mahogany 8 day painted arch dial longcase clock striking the hours on a domed bell with the makers name J Cooper of Wolverhampton (James 1835-1850).

The 12" arch dial has a seaside picture to the arch over sailing ships to the corners enclosing a black painted chapter ring and smiley face date aperture with working date wheel behind and a pair of brass protector to the winding holes. The arched top hood has a short swan-neck with a pair of gilt paterae over a 12" arched hood door enclosed by a pair of turned hood pillars over an ogee moulded throat above a trunk door with quarter turned and fluted trunk pilasters with brass capitals and bases over a square base on bracket feet.
