Here we have a late Victorian mahogany tripod tilt top occasional table. The usefulness of this table is immediately apparent as when it is not in use, you can release a catch which will tilt the table surface and therefore can be easily stored. The top is supported by a turuned column with three legs terminating in small bun feet.
